The most important writing project of Henry David
Thoreau's life was not his classic book Walden, but rather his 2
million word Journal. This presentation by the Harvard educated
theologian Malcolm Clemens Young examines the connection between
Thoreau's journal and the spiritual journals of his forebears. It
introduces the question of how we might feel a more profound connection
to nature, and in fact see it differently, through daily practices like
walking, keeping a journal or drawing.
