Our mission is to inspire life-long wellness through conscious movement and self-awareness practices. Center of Balance was founded in 1997 by health and movement specialist Tom McCook. A premier learning destination and teacher certification center, Center of Balance specializes in Pilates, Yoga, Franklin Method, CoreAlign, BodyCode System, Resistance Stretching, and Bodywork. We were voted "Best Pilates Studio in the Bay Area" by San Francisco Magazine.

Center of Balance is located at 1220 Pear Ave., Suite I, in Mountain View, CA, off Shoreline Blvd., near the Century 16 movie theaters. Our 3,500-square-foot Center offers separate studios for open mat classes and private Pilates sessions. Hardwood floors, wall-to-wall mirrors, soothing light fixtures, airy space, and calming background music create a warm and relaxing atmosphere for all who visit.

Our 1,000-square-foot Pilates studio features state-of-the-art Balanced Body equipment, including seven Reformers, one Cadillac, six Exo chairs, five wall units, five small barrels, one high barrel, and several props for exercise variations. In 2003, we added the Elvis, MasterStretch, and Pegasus System to our studio equipment, designed by Artform of Florence, Italy. In 2010, we're excited to be one of the first studios in the world to enhance our movement program with the newly-released CoreAlign System, in partnership with Balanced Body!
